VESTAL (WBNG) — The community is continuing to remember Noah Farrelly for what he loved most, running.

Farrelly died last month, after police say he was hit by vehicle while running outside. Farrelly was a recent Binghamton High School graduate and an athlete at Stony Brook University.

Now, his friends and family are teaming up to hold a 5K race in his memory, Run with Noah.

“We decided to call it ‘Run with Noah’ instead of ‘Run for Noah’ because Noah will be there with us, smiling, and he’ll be there in spirit,” Andy Mushalla, event coordinator at the Vestal Coal House, said.

Mushalla said he hopes hundreds of people come out for this race.

“I just think it’ll be nice to be out here and honor him. He was such a affable, outgoing, amazing person. I want the community to come together and enjoy his life and celebrate his life,” Mushalla said.

The race will take place on Sunday, January 20 at the Vestal Coal House. It starts at 9:30 a.m. and costs five dollars to enter.
