Southern Tier businessman to make donation to Boys & Girls Clubs after Syracuse basketball win

(WBNG) — Monday night local businessman Adam Weitsman made a promise in a Facebook post that he would donate $150,000 to local Boys and Girls Clubs if Syracuse beat Duke.

Duke was the #1 ranked team in the Associated Press college basketball rankings.

Syracuse pulled off the upset victory in overtime 95-91. The last time Syracuse beat Duke at Cameron Indoor Stadium was in 2016.

After Monday’s game, Weitsman, who works in Tioga County and lives in Broome County, told 12 News that it was the best game he has ever been to.

Weitsman told 12 News he is donating the $150,000 to be split between the Tioga, Binghamton, and Syracuse Boys and Girls Clubs.
