Route 17 back open after rollover crash in Windsor

9:27 A.M. UPDATE:

WINDSOR (WBNG) — As of 9:27 a.m., all lanes are back open.


ORIGINAL STORY:

WINDSOR (WBNG) — Crews are responding to a one-vehicle rollover in Windsor, which is causing a lane closure.

According to the New York State Department of Transportation, the crash happened Thursday morning around 8 a.m. in the area of exit 80 on State Route 17 eastbound.

The DOT states one of two lanes is closed in that area as crews respond.

The Broome County Dispatch Center tells 12 News one car rolled over.

According to New York State Police, a 19-year-old woman from Connecticut is believed to have fallen asleep while driving, causing her to drift off the road, then overcorrect the vehicle.

State police say she complained of some pain, but did not require transportation to a hospital.

New York State Police and Deposit Emergency Squad are also on the scene.
