Police: Pizza delivery man attacked in Binghamton, food stolen

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) — Three men are charged with planning and executing an attack on a pizza delivery man.

Binghamton police detectives say a Dominos employee was delivering food to an address on Cary Street early Wednesday morning when he was approached by two men. The men claimed they were the customers, detectives say.

One of the men allegedly took the food delivery, while the other punched the delivery man, authorities say. The deliveryman suffered wounds to the face and mouth and no weapons were used in the attack, according to police.

Detectives tell 12 News only the food and drink items were taken, and that no money was stolen.

After the alleged assault, police say the men ran toward Chenango Street and escaped into an apartment building.

One of the suspects was located by officers and brought into custody, police say. Later on Wednesday, police say a search warrant was executed at an apartment on Chenango Street. In total, three people were brought into custody and charged in the planning and execution of the attack and robbery:

  • Rashaun Godbay, 19, Binghamton
  • Stefphon Godbay, 18, Binghamton
  • Thomas Decker, 19, Endicott

All three were charged with second-degree robbery, a class C felony. The suspects were arraigned in Binghamton City Court and sent to the Broome County Jail without bail.
