BINGHAMTON (WBNG) — Runners got in the spirit of Valentines Day on Saturday as they took on the streets on Downtown Binghamton in the Cupid’s Chase 5K.
Cupid’s Chase is a run organized by Community Options’ which has a mission of providing residential and employment services to individuals with disabilities.
Dozens came out to run despite the cold, many say the cause is something that hits close to home.
“I’m a special education teacher at Owego Free Academy and I’m here with a bunch of my colleagues and any opportunity that we get to come and support individuals with disability, we come out and we do it,” said Capri May from Owego.
According to the organization’s site, $7,737 was raised through this event.
