BINGHAMTON (WBNG) — Police say a gun was shown during a robbery attempt on a taxi driver Monday night in Binghamton.

According to Binghamton detectives, one of the two suspects in the attempt on Murray Street showed a gun while trying to steal cash from the driver of a Star Taxi.

The driver and two suspects then fought over the gun, detectives say.

No cash was taken during the incident, investigators say.

Detectives are searching for the suspects. The two are described as two young males. Detectives say one of the men was wearing a hoodie that covered his face.
