NICHOLS, N.Y. (WBNG) — A casting call for the CBS show “Big Brother” will be held at Tioga Downs Casino Resort in Nichols at the end of March.
The show follows a group of people living together in a house outfitted with dozens of cameras and microphones recording their every move.
WBNG is helping you get in the house.
“Every once in awhile we’ll get an email from CBS saying that they’re going to have casting calls available to us and we received one a few weeks ago, and we thought that would be a really great idea, why not,” said WBNG Marketing Manager Michelle Rydzanich.
The casting call will take place on Saturday, March 30 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
“It’s a big show on WBNG and when we were approached to have the casting call here at the casino it just made perfect sense to us,” said Tioga Downs Casino Resort Marketing Manager Jim Weed.
People who wish to audition must bring their photo ID and a completed application with them.
WBNG will be there to record the auditions, which will then be sent to CBS.
Season 19 Big Brother contestant Kevin Schlehuber shared some advice if you’re interesting in applying.
He was in the Southern Tier last year at Spiedie Fest to meet many of you.
“You only have 30 seconds, a minute to talk,” he said. “You know what I mean? So I mean I know that’s hard for you to believe, they only gave me thirty seconds to talk. But I only had that much time.”
He says the number one thing to remember is to be yourself.
“They want to bring on interesting people,” he said. “So you don’t want to go on there and be I’m a Big Brother fan and I know everybody. You want to give them something that makes them feel that you can entertain the audience for the whole summer.”
The application can be found below.
