BINGHAMTON (WBNG) — Whether we like it or not, growing older is a part of life, but there are steps you can take to maintain your health and fitness.
A luncheon was held at the Phelps Mansion in downtown Binghamton Monday afternoon to discuss the effect of diet and nutrition on our general well-being.
Those in attendance learned about certain beneficial foods that can help reduce inflammation, improve memory and increase vision.
“As we age, as we get older, as things change, how do we live more healthfully,” said Millie DesBiens, the hostess of the event. “Particularly, maybe we have diabetes or we have some other condition. What can we do to help ourselves stay healthy?”
The luncheon was part of “Mondays at the Museum”, a program used to raise money to help keep the Phelps Mansion Museum running.
