COLESVILLE (WBNG) — Country Manor Trailer Park was left without power, downed trees, and damage to property after a series of storms.

Daniel Rogers, the owner of Country Manor Trailer Park, took shelter with his family after receiving multiple alerts of dangerous windstorms. When he woke up the next morning, it was not a pretty sight.

“I had a big two and a half foot pine tree that broke off and fell on top of what was my trailer,” said Rogers.

His trailer was not the only thing that was destroyed. A tree, one of the few that had been there since Rogers’ father opened the park in the 70’s was split from the top of the tree to the ground.

“I had to put a ratchet strap on it to keep it from spreading wider until we can have a tree company come and take care of it,” said Rogers.

Daniel estimates removing the tree alone can cost up to $4,000. He spent the entire day cleaning all of the debris by himself. Through all of this though, he has remained positive.

“It could have been a lot worse. I keep saying it’s only stuff, nobody got hurt, but it’s only stuff,” said Rogers.
