Cocaine found, man arrested in Binghamton drug raid

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) — One person was arrested Monday after a drug raid in Binghamton.

The Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force says Christopher Frederick, 24, was arrested at his Varick Street home in the city of Binghamton.

Authorities say they recovered powder cocaine, crack cocaine, drug packaging materials, and $400 in suspected drug sale proceeds.

Frederick faces the following charges:

  • Two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class B felony.
  • Two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class B felony.
  • Criminally using drug paraphernalia, a class A misdemeanor.

Frederick was held at the Binghamton Police department until being arraigned in Binghamton City Court.
