Man who trained NASA astronauts touches down in Binghamton

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) — A man who was pivotal to the first American moon landing touched down in Binghamton to educate the public Wednesday night.

Frank Hughes was the NASA Chief of Spaceflight Training from 1966 to 1969.

He trained the astronauts who took part in the Apollo 10 mission which was a rehearsal for the Apollo 11 moon landing in 1969.
