(WBNG) — The Binghamton Police Department is looking for a person who has been missing since early August.

Police say 73-year-old James Andrews was last seen at his home on 19 Gregory Lane in Binghamton.

They say Andrews has never been missing in the past and is known to suffer from health issues.

Neighbors grew concerned when the usually-present Andrews was nowhere to be found.

“When it lasted two weeks, it was longer than having no contact with him at all,” said Dorothy Engelert, who has lived next door to Andrews for 15 years. “He was gone, his car was gone, I thought what’s going on?”

Englert said Andrews retired a few years ago but has maintained an active lifestyle, and was still driving prior to going missing.

If you believe you may have seen Andrews, or have any information on his disappearance call the Binghamton Detectives at 607-772-7080 or the Police Main Desk at 607-772-7076.
