Multiple units respond to car crash on Route 26 in Vestal

VESTAL (WBNG) — Multiple departments reported to a one-vehicle crash on route 26 between Glenwood Road and Powderhouse Road in Vestal.

One vehicle veered off the road into the woods striking a tree, which landed on some power lines.

According to Vestal Fire, they responded at 9 a.m. on reports of a possible fire. When arriving, the vehicle appeared to be smoking, but there was no fire.

NYSEG was also on the scene to repair the power lines.

There is currently no word on injuries and the investigation is ongoing at this time.
