Grace Gagnon joined the WBNG news team in June 2018 as a multimedia journalist.
Grace graduated from the University of Connecticut in May 2018 with a degree in journalism and communication. Before joining the WBNG 12 News team, Grace traveled Europe for three weeks. While journeying London, Spain, and Portugal, she learned how to break through language barriers to connect with people from different cultures.
During her undergraduate career, Grace was involved with UConn’s campus television station, where she worked as a field reporter, lead anchor, and assistant news director. When Grace was not on camera, she indulged in writing. Grace started writing a weekly column for her local newspaper, The Bristol Observer, when she was 19 years old. She enjoyed connecting with her home community by weighing in on current events and sharing personal stories.
Grace also maintained two internships throughout her college career. She was the corporate responsibility and sustainability intern for United Technologies Corporation in Farmington, Connecticut. The following summer Grace worked as the news intern for FOX61 News.
Grace is an avid reader and writes in her journal regularly. She absolutely loves being outside, any season of the year. She is looking forward to exploring the local scenery and finding a good place to soak up the sun. Despite her love for summer, Grace is excited for the winter months and future storm coverage.
