Elderly woman with dementia found safe

8:30 P.M. UPDATE:

OTSEGO (WBNG) — New York State Police reported that the missing 89-year-old woman with dementia has been found.

According to authorities, Belle Lord was reported missing after she left a home on Sunset Ridge Road in the town of Otsego around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.

She has since been found safe in good condition and is now with her family.

According to authorities, Belle Lord left a home on Sunset Ridge Road in the town of Otsego around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. They say she left in a silver 2008 Toyota Solara convertible with a black top with North Carolina plates reading BHL 7498.

Troopers say she could be heading to her last residence in Wilmington, NC.

Lord is described as having red hair, green eyes, she is approximately 5’3 and 70 pounds. Troopers noted she is possibly be wearing a black double breasted long wool coat and have a turquoise and black Vera Bradley purse.

Troopers added she also has a white terrier mix dog with her that has a pink collar and pink leash.
