BINGHAMTON (WBNG) — The Center of Technology and Innovation, also known as TechWorks!, unveiled a new map hanging outside of the building on Monday.

The map depicts 18,000 square miles, stretching from Cooperstown to Ohio.

It’s called the “Here in the Heart of NY” mural.

Community members came together to see the new form of art work Monday afternoon.

“Gives you an opportunity to figure out why things are connected,” said The Center of Technology and Innovation Executive Director Susan Sherwood. “How close were they, were they next door neighbors and they had to be connected, or were they really far apart, and something else made the connection.”

The project was funded by AARP Livable Communities Program.
