Boil water advisory for Village of Greene

GREENE (WBNG) — Water has been restored to the Village of Greene as of 8:20 p.m. Saturday.

According to the mayor’s office, the village and town municipal water are now under a boil water advisory for the next several days.

The cause of the water main break has not been released.


GREENE (WBNG) — Water was shut off in the Village of Greene following a water main break Saturday morning, according to the mayor’s office.

The office says once the water is restored, there will be a boil water advisory in effect until further notice.

The village says the break occurred on North Chenango Street. As of 4 p.m., the Village Department of Public Works shut off all of the water to its residents.

No cause of the break has been released.
