TOWN OF DICKINSON (WBNG) — Some local seniors received some holiday cheer Friday morning, thanks to the Chenango Bridge Elementary School chorus.

The students sang some Christmas classics for the seniors, like Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and We Wish you a Merry Christmas.

After singing the classics, students from the art club presented home-made ornaments as gifts for the seniors. The ornaments were cardinals. The students say that if you see a cardinal, it represents a loved one who passed away coming to visit you.

Educators said the purpose of their visit was to integrate music and art, while also putting a smile on the seniors’ faces.
