KIRKWOOD (WBNG) — Hundreds of thousands of Girl Scout cookies are set to be distributed across our area.

Cases of cookies were delivered to a warehouse in Kirkwood recently for local Girl Scouts troop leaders to pick up.

Most of the cookies will fulfill pre-orders, which troops began selling in January.

If you didn’t place an order, there’s no need to worry.

Community booth sales begin March 2.

“You’ll see them at different mall locations, in front of the Walmarts and Lowes, and all throughout their different local communities. At churches or sporting events, or just different things going on in the community, they’ll be out and about,” said Andrea Mastronardi, Senior Director of Sales with Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways.

Girl Scout leaders say about 45,000 cases of cookies were delivered. At 12 boxes per case, that’s a total of 540,000 boxes of cookies.
