Family says Harper Stantz’s organs will be donated

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (AP) — The family of a high school student who was struck by an alleged drugged driver in Binghamton says her organs will be donated, according to the Associated Press.

The Binghamton City School District announced Wednesday that 16-year-old Harper Stantz died at a hospital two days after the crash on Beethoven Street.

Officials say Stantz and 19-year-old Britney Laserinko were struck while walking home after playing tennis around 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Laserinko has been hospitalized in stable condition.

Stantz’s family says her organs will be donated with the hope of saving other lives.
