Irish dancers perform at ACHIEVE

TOWN OF DICKINSON (WBNG) — People at the Cutler Pond ACHIEVE facility were getting into the St. Patrick’s Day spirit on Thursday.

The Carle School of Irish Dance performed several dance numbers in both soft shoe and hard shoe.

The performance was well received, with people cheering and clapping along to the music.

Organizers say it helps to integrate the facility with the community.

“Our whole program at on the pond at cutler stands for community integration and I think that our individuals deserve the same amount of equality as the rest of our society and community.” said Shawnta Smith, the Day Habilitation Specialist at Achieve.

Throughout the month of March the Carle School of Irish Dance will hold several performances within the community.
