BINGHAMTON (WBNG) — While the Southern Tier experienced one of the more pleasant days weather-wise in 2019, you may not want to take it for granted.
Two years ago Thursday, nearly three feet of snow fell across the region in a span of a little less than a day. A state of emergency was declared across New York State and a travel ban was put in place in Broome County.
Fast forward to 2019, and it was a much more pleasant scene. Some spent the day at Highland Park in Endwell. Some were walking their dogs, having a bit of fun on the playground, or just simply enjoying the weather.
“It just feels good to be here today. Just taking my grand daughters out for a walk and just enjoying the air. Nice day,” said Tom Hester of Endwell.
