WINDSOR (WBNG) — If you’re in the market for a new job, you may be in luck.
The 2019 Windsor Job Fair will be held Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Windsor Job Center inside the Windsor Community House.
The fair began in 2010, when Stephen Goss noticed a need in the Windsor community. He says he responded by opening the Windsor Job Center, which offers resources like computers with high-speed internet to job seekers living in more rural areas.
“I saw record-high unemployment and people were actually moving out of the area. So It was my way to sort of give back to the community to try to have people stay here,” said Goss, the fair’s founder.
According to Goss, the following companies have confirmed they will attend the fair:
- DICK’S Sporting Goods
- Maines Food Services
- Willow Run Foods
- Broome-Tioga BOCES
- American Job Center (Broome/Tioga Workforce)
- Raymond Corporation
- Windsor Central School District
- Atkore American Pipe and Plastics
- United Health Services
The Windsor Job Center is located at 107 Main Street in Windsor. It’s open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday through Sunday.
