Mirabito store clerk accused of failing to fill ATM with cash, facing felony

HARTWICK, N.Y. (WBNG) — New York State Police say troopers have arrested a store clerk for failing to fill an ATM with cash at a Mirabito on State Highway 205 in Hartwick.

State police say 33-year-old Amanda Gus of Hartwick was charged with grand larceny in the third degree, a felony.

Authorities say troopers received a complaint that money was missing from the ATM and logs were unaccounted for from a period of time starting in February and ending in April.

Police say an investigation revealed Gus was responsible for filling the machine.

Authorities say more than $1,000 was reported to be unaccounted for.

New York State Police say Gus was arraigned in the Village of Richfield Court and released on her own recognizance.  She is expected back in court on May 7.
