Community comes out to remember fallen New York State Trooper Nicholas Clark

BATH, N.Y. (WENY/WBNG) — Community members in Steuben County are remembering the men and women who lost their lives in the line of duty.

This year, a ceremony was held for fallen New York State Trooper Nicholas Clark.

Clark was killed while responding to a domestic dispute in the town of Erwin on July 2nd.

A monument was made in Clark’s honor and Trooper Clark’s name was added on the wall of fallen law enforcement.

“When we lose a member of our law enforcement community that’s also a member of our county, obviously it’s doubly important that we recognize that and dedicate a suiting memorial to that,” said Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard.

During the ceremony, a bell was rung to honor each individual member on the wall.

The ceremony is held every year at the end of law enforcement week.
