BINGHAMTON (WBNG) — Binghamton Mayor Rich David announced Friday that Infiniti Greens is the winner of the 2019 Binghamton Business Plan Competition.
The competition awards $5,000 to the best plan for developing a business in Binghamton. The competition aims to promote growth of local businesses and help increase entrepreneurial spirit in the city.
Infiniti Greens is a business that specializes in growing vegetables that have concentrated nutrients and flavor. The business works with local farmers and restaurants which uses the company’s vegetables as ingredient. The business was founded inside of a Binghamton University dorm room.
Friday’s announcement was at the businesses’ location, 75 Travis Ave.
“We congratulate Infiniti Greens on winning this business plan competition and look forward to the company’s growth and success in the city of Binghamton,” said Mayor Rich David.
The mayor was joined by Binghamton Local Development Corporation (BLDC) officials and SUNY Broome’s Entrepreneurial Assistance Program (EAP).
Judges for the competition included representatives from the BLDC, EAP and the Koffman Southern Tier Incubator.
