Aldi recalls flour over E. coli contamination

(CBS/WBNG) — Aldi says it is recalling The Bakers Corner All Purpose Flour due to possible E. Coli contamination.

The company says the product was sourced from an ADM Milling Co. production facility in Buffalo, N.Y.

The supermarket says the flour was sold in 11 states, including New York and Pennsylvania.

Aldi says the recall covers all Bakers Corner All Purpose Flour with the UPC code: 041498130404. It says the 5 pound bags of flour should be discarded or returned to the store for a refund.

According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, 17 people across eight states have reported getting sick from ingesting the flour.

Individuals can ask their questions to ADM Milling Co. Customer Service at 800-422-1688 between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. central time.
