NYSDEC seeks help spotting invasive spotted lanternfly

(WBNG) — The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation is asking for people to report any sightings of the spotted lanternfly.

DEC officials say the invasive insect feeds on more than 70 plant species including apple, grapevine and hops.

If you believe you’ve seen one, send photos to spottedlanternfly@dec.ny.gov.
