Police: Two taken to hospital after Endicott crash

ENDICOTT (WBNG) — The Endicott Police Department says two people were taken to the hospital after a multi-vehicle crash on East Main Street in the village Friday morning.

Police say it happened around 6:52 a.m. near the intersection with S. Loder Avenue.

According to Assistant Chief Craig Williams of the Endicott Police Department, two eastbound vehicles and two westbound vehicles were involved in the crash.

“One of the vehicles went into the building which was the church, some structural damage,” Williams told 12 News. “Two people got taken to the hospital.”

Williams says what caused the crash is under investigation.

ENDICOTT (WBNG) — Emergency officials were called to a crash on Route 17C eastbound in Endicott Friday morning.

It happened around 7 a.m. on E. Main Street between S. Liberty and S. Loder avenues.

When 12 News arrived at 7:20 a.m., a damaged Jeep could be seen on the front lawn of Union Presbyterian Church.

According to the New York State Department of Transportation, some injuries have been reported.

Both eastbound lanes were closed to traffic while crews worked at the scene.

Authorities have not said what caused the crash.
