Construction on Johnson City roundabout to affect traffic, begins Sunday night

JOHNSON CITY (WBNG) — The New York State Department of Transportation wants drivers to be aware that a pavement resurface and milling operation on the Johnson City roundabout will affect traffic.

Construction is set to begin Sunday at 8 p.m..

The DOT says construction will affect the following areas:

  • The roundabout and route 201 access ramps
  • Riverside Drive from the roundabout to Margaret Street
  • a “small section” of Floral Avenue

A lane closure will take affect as crews work.

The construction is expected to be done August 30th.

The DOT would also like to remind motorists that fine are doubled in work zones.
