PORT CRANE (WBNG) — The community came out to show support for our local salvation army.

The organization held it’s third annual bike ride followed by a fundraiser dinner and concert at touch of Texas in Binghamton.

Organizers say the proceeds go to help hundreds of kids across our area and New York have a fun summer.

“It goes to families and to kids who may not be able to afford camp, so this is a scholarship program. And all they do, each year, they would just apply to the salvation army, for the opportunity to go to camp, and then they get to go to camp for free,” said Salvation Army volunteer Chet Schultz.

Raffles items were also sold throughout the evening and event goers got to enjoy live music.
