CHENANGO BRIDGE (WBNG) – The 3rd annual B.C. Celtic Music Fest kicks off Friday night at Mcgirk’s Irish Pub in Chenango Bridge with live music and fun!
Tomorrow is the big day with the 5-k kilted run, which is new this year. It starts at 10 a.m.
The owner of McGirk’s, Tim Ward, says that its’ the first of its’ kind.
“It started three years ago when we were looking for a funraiser to help offset expenses to send out Broome County Celtic Pipe Band to Scotland. We were invited to play in some highland games in Sierra Scotland,” he said.
You can buy a kilt right at Mcgirk’s if you don’t already own one.
If you don’t want to participate in the run, you can still join in on all the fun with Mcgirk’s setting up a big tent on the Chenango Commons Golf Course after the race.
