BINGHAMTON (WBNG) – Food and fun are descending upon downtown, as the Fall 2019 Restaurant Week takes place.

Over 25 restaurants are participating in the event, including places such as The Colonial, Craft, and The Lost Dog Cafe.

Craft co-owner Adam Tuttle said the burgers will be a staple for Craft this year.

“We just released some new sliders, so we’re featuring those again this restaurant week on the menu,” Tuttle said.

For The Colonial co-owner, Jordan Rindgen, he expects a special sandwich to steal the show.

“I highly recommend the chicken and waffle sandwich” Rindgen said. “We offer a sweet or savory version of it. Savory comes with chipotle ranch and pickles; sweet comes with bacon and New York State maple syrup.”

The food and drink will be flowing early and often during Restaurant Week, but owners say people’s support of local eats is what makes the event truly special.

“We like seeing different people. We have a solid base of regulars, and it’s nice seeing other people in the community come out and give us a whirl,” Rindgen said.

Restaurant Week runs for 10 days, ending on Thursday, September 19.
