JOHNSON CITY (WBNG) — Authorities in Johnson City say an individual was arrested at the Red Roof Inn on drug-related charges Wednesday evening.

The Johnson City Police Department says it has arrested 25-year-old Legend G. Williams of Binghamton and charged them with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 3rd degree, a class B felony.

He was also charged with criminally using drug paraphernalia in the 2nd degree, a misdemeanor.

The police department says officers responded to the Red Roof Inn to assist parole officers with a parolee who was at the location.

Police say Williams was in the hotel room with the parolee and was found to be in possession of 2.6 grams of crack-cocaine and “various” drug paraphernalia.

Authorities also said Williams had $480 on him, which was seized as suspected drug proceeds.

The Johnson City Police Department says Williams was transported to central arraignment and remanded to the Broome County Jail.
