VESTAL (WBNG) — Two weeks away from Binghamton University men’s basketball’s season opener and the Bearcats could be without one of its key returning players. Senior center Thomas Bruce led the Bearcats in rebounds and blocks last season, but has yet to practice with the Bearcats this season, because he is still experiencing symptoms from a concussions he suffered in September.

“He hasn’t been cleared yet to practice,” said Binghamton University head coach Tommy Dempsey. “So, that’s been a little bit of the downside of the preseason, but it’s also allowed guys to play in some different roles and we’ve played a little bit smaller and a little bit different without him.”

The Bearcats are not sure when Bruce will be able to return. The season opener is set for Tuesday, November 6 at home against Cornell at 8 p.m.
