BINGHAMTON (WBNG) – The Mets announced that that Rumble Ponies manager, Luis Rojas, will become the Mets quality control coach.

Rojas took over as the Rumble Ponies manager in December of 2016 and led the team to 149 wins in his seasons in charge of the Binghamton bench.

The Mets shook up the coaching staff after the hiring of general manager Brodie Van Wagenen. The quality control coach will be a new position on the Mets bench in 2019. Before coming to Binghamton, Rojas was the manager of the St. Lucie Mets for two seasons and has worked his way up through the organization.
