Cam Johnson called up to NHL, Binghamton signs Brodeur

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) – The New Jersey Devils announced Sunday that Cam Johnson was being called up to the NHL for its game against the Las Vegas Golden Knights. The B-Devils also announced Saturday that the team signed Jeremy Brodeur, son of Martin Brodeur, to a PTO.

Mackenzie Blackwood, who had been turning some heads at the professional level but injured himself in his last start so Johnson was sent to the big club to backup Keith Kinkaid. There is no indication for how long Blackwood will be out for.

This is the first time the 24 year old is headed to the NHL. He has a .866 save percentage in 15 games with Binghamton so far this season.
