High school hoops roundup – L’Amoreaux sisters drop 43 to lead M-E to victory

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) — On Friday night, the girls took center stage in the Section IV high school basketball world. In Conklin, Seton crushed Susquehanna Valley for the second time this season, 48-26. Owego stayed perfect by cruising past Corning at home. Johnson City almost pulled off an upset of Elmira at Johnson City High School and in Union, the L’Amoreaux sisters, Allison and Kaetlyn, combined for 43 points as Maine-Endwell defeated Ithaca, 57-52.

Final scores: Susquehanna Valley – 26, Seton Catholic – 48

Seton senior, Julia Hauer, on the victory:

“Definitely our team chemistry was there,” said Seton Catholic senior forward Julia Hauer. “Everybody knew where people were going to cut before it even happened and the passes were strong and got to the finishes.”

Maine-Endwell – 57, Ithaca – 52

Kaetlyn and Allison L’Amoreaux combined for 43 points for Maine-Endwell.

Johnson City – 47, No. 18 Elmira – 61

Next up for Johnson City is Corning on January 15, tip off is scheduled for 7:45 p.m.

No. 6 Owego – 63, Corning – 28

Owego improves to 12-0 on the season.
