Devils knock off Belleville in the shootout

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) – In the team’s first shootout of the season, the Devils defeated Belleville, 3-2. The Senators scored the game’s first goal just a little over two minutes into the game.

Later in the period, Marian Studenic would tie the game on the breakaway. It was Studenic’s eleventh goal of the season. The Senators would retake the lead early in the second, but Nathan Bastian would tie it on the power play in the third.

After nobody scored in overtime, Nathan Bastian scored the lone goal in the shootout for the Devils win.

Final score: Binghamton (21-24-5-0) – 3, Belleville (20-23-2-2) – 2 (SO)

Binghamton is in action next Saturday against Cleveland. Puck drops at 7:05 p.m.
