Studenic’s OT goal completes weekend sweep for B-Devils

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) – In the second half of a back to back Marian Studenic scored the overtime winner as the Devils knocked off Cleveland, 4-3. Binghamton swept the weekend series in Cleveland and beat the Monsters in three out of four games this season.

The Devils took a 3-1 lead in the second but Cleveland would tie the game late in the third period. The game would go to overtime where Studenic scored the game winner. Blake Speers, Ryan Schmelzer and Brandon Gignac also had goals for Binghamton in the win.

Final score: Cleveland (22-21-5-1) – 3 , Binghamton (23-24-5-0) – 4 (OT)

Binghamton is back at home Friday against Laval. Puck drops at 7:00 p.m.
