Owego, Norwich knocked out of state playoffs

ONONDAGA (WBNG) – On Friday both Owego and Noriwch were knocked out of the state tournament. In the early game, Lowville defeated the Indians, 68-51. Later in the night Norwich fell to South Jefferson, 66-59.

Lowville got off to a fast start but thanks to 18 points from Kobe Bogart the Indians only trailed by six at halftime. In the second half, Owego lost Christian Sage with an ankle injury and Owego never recovered.

Bogart had 28 points on the afternoon. Robert Merrill was second on the team with eight points. Lowville had four players in double figures.

Norwich led for most of the game but failed to score a field goal in the games final four minutes. It was quite the impressive season for the Purple Tornado but it came to a close in Syracuse.
