Rochester stuns Binghamton with late goal

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) – With the game tied at four, Rochester scored with 1:36 left in the game to knock off Binghamton, 6-4.

Binghamton took a 3-2 lead into the third period. After Rochester took its first lead of the game, Ryan Schmelzer tied it once again before the Americans beat Cam Johnson with under two minutes to play.

Johnson allowed five goals in the loss.

Final score: Binghamton (26-38-6-0) – 4, Rochester (42-21-4-2) – 6

Binghamton is back in action Friday when the Devils travel to Wilkes/Barre to take on the Penguins. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m.
