Rumble Ponies drop Sunday matinee, split series with New Hampshire

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) – On Sunday the Rumble Ponies could not get anything going offensively and fell to the Fisher Cats, 3-1. Binghamton and New Hampshire split the season opening series.

Barrett Barnes hit a solo home run for Binghamton in the loss. Michael Gibbons allowed just two earned runs in six innings of work in his first start of the season.

New Hampshire – 3 (2-2), Rumble Ponies – 1 (2-2)

The Rumble Ponies open up a series in Portland against the Sea Dogs on Monday. First pitch is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
