Binghamton sweeps doubleheader with Hartford

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) – On Saturday Binghamton baseball won both of its games against Hartford. The Bearcats offense totaled 33 hits and 18 runs on the afternoon.

In game one, Hartford’s starting pitcher only recorded one out. The Bearcats scored seven runs in the first inning and were off and running.

Senior, Nick Gallagher, earned the game one victory.

Game one final score:

Binghamton – 12 (16-17, 6-6), Hartford – 1 (13-22, 7-5)

In game two Ben Anderson would dominate once again to earn his America East leading seventh win of the season.

The win moves the Bearcats into second place in the America East. Freshman, Kevin Gsell, had a two run single in the win.

Game two final score:

Binghamton – 6 (17-17, 7-6), Hartford – 2 (13-23, 7-6)

These two will wrap up their three game set Sunday afternoon. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
