Albany sweeps doubleheader from Binghamton

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) – On Saturday, Binghamton lost both game of its doubleheader with Albany.

In game one, the Bearcats struck first but couldn’t do anything after that. The big blow was a Great Danes three run home run in the fifth inning.

Nick Gallagher allowed three runs and took the game one loss.

Game one final score:

Binghamton – 1 (21-20, 10-7), Albany – 3 (23-21, 10-9)

In game two the Binghamton’s bats went silent once again. Binghamton was held to just two hits and no runs.

Albany native, Ben Anderson, allowed all four runs in the fourth inning and took the loss. Anderson struck out seven in six innings of work.

Game two final score:

Binghamton – 0 (21-21, 10-8), Albany – 4 (24-21, 11-9)

These two will wrap up their three game set Sunday afternoon. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
