BINGHAMTON (WBNG) — Goalie Cam Johnson allowed five goals Friday night in Binghamton’s loss, 5-3, in Utica against the Comets, snapping the B-Devils’ streak of earning at least a point in five straight games. Evan Cormier started the first four of those games, all Binghamton victories.

Eric Gryba put Binghamton on the board 21 seconds into the game with his second goal of the season. Utica tied the game midway through the first. Nathan Bastian put Binghamton back in front later in the first, but the Comets quickly tied the game about a minute later.

Utica would score the next three goals to pull away from the B-Devils for the victory.

Final score: Utica (23-17-3-1) – 5, Binghamton (19-21-4-0) – 3

Binghamton is back at home Saturday night against Syracuse. Puck drops at 5:05 p.m.
