Binghamton women’s basketball falls to Niagara for sixth straight time

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) — Niagara continued to be a thorn in the side of the Binghamton women’s basketball team, defeating the Bearcats, 79-72, Wednesday night in Niagara Falls. Its the sixth straight time Niagara has beat Binghamton. The loss snaps the Bearcats’ two-game winning streak. The victory was Niagara’s second win of the season.

Rebecca Carmody and Olivia Ramil each recorded double-doubles in the loss for the Bearcats. Carmody scored a team-high 16 points and added 12 rebounds. Ramil grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds while scoring 13 points.

Kai Moon did not play again for Binghamton.

Final score: Niagara (2-6) – 79, Binghamton (5-4) – 72

Binghamton returns to action Saturday, November 8 against Rider at home inside the Events Center. Tip-off is scheduled for noon.
