Houston Rockets to part ways with Carmelo Anthony

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) — Former Syracuse basketball star Carmelo Anthony has played his final game with the Houston Rockets. The team announced on Thursday, they will part ways with the 10-time All-Star after just 10 games played in a Rockets’ uniform.

Coming off the bench this season, the 34-year-old forward averaged 13.4 points a game.

According to an ESPN report, Houston does not plan to waive Anthony yet, allowing him to find a landing spot. Anthony is not eligible to be traded until after December 15, because he signed as a free agent this summer.
