VESTAL (WBNG) — The Binghamton baseball team won their third game in the America East Tournament Friday night, taking down Hartford 10-5 to advance to the championship round.
The Bearcats jumped on Hartford early, scoring seven runs in the first three innings. After Hartford started to make a comeback, Binghamton’s offense came alive again in the sixth, highlighted by a Shane Marshall solo home run. The Bearcats scored two more to take the 10-5 lead.
Reliever Jack Collins closed the door on Hartford, pitching 3.1 shutout innings in relief and earning the win.

The Bearcats take on top-seeded Stony Brook Saturday at 1 p.m., in the America East championship game.
