Rumble Ponies open series against Trenton with win

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) — On Friday night, the Rumble Ponies opened a series with the Trenton Thunder with a 6-0 win, jumping back into first place in the Eastern Division.

In what was a bullpen game for the Ponies, four relievers combined for a three-hit shutout, as they were backed by their offense early on. Andres Gimenez got his team on the board in the third with an RBI single. In the fourth, Will Toffey and Ali Sanchez plated one run a piece to make it 3-0. Jason Krizan would double that lead with a 3-run home run for his fourth homer this week, capping off a five-run inning.
